On May 29, 2010 Puente Arizona organized a march which mobilized 150,000 People from all over the state and country to take to the streets of Phoenix in protest of Senate Bill 1070. SB1070 is Arizona’s “papers please” law that made national headlines, but it is only one of 60 anti-migrant laws passed in Arizona.
Puente Arizona is part of the global movement for migrant justice and human rights. As a grassroots community-based group Puente promotes justice, non-violence, interdependence and human dignity.
We’ve had several small victories, and are organizing for justice and human rights throughout Arizona and need your help to change Arizona and win!
